Create groups that have similar characteristics
Define the characteristics
Use this do define differentiate and answer the question
Ex.
Humans have a belly button... Therefore anything with a BB must be human.
Dogs have bb so that can't be it. But it may be one of the defining criteria
Try again? (Repeat this process until you get an answer you are confident with.

A banana is a nut because when you peel back its skin, you can eat what's inside just like a walnut or a chestnut.
So does that make an orange a nut?
What is a nut then?
Is a banana just a food or a fruit?
But fruits have seeds?
But bananas do not have seeds?
Then all fruits are grown on trees?
But what about tomatoes?

So start with the things you are definitely are sure are fruits . Identify their characteristics now you have defined a fruit! What ever follows from there is absolute.
